The Portland Marathon was last week and Dr Buchholz gave it a try. It was a very rewarding experience and after watching thousands of runners (most of whom passed him), he realized, the human body can really do a lot more than we give it credit. The Pediatric ICU is very similar, great outcomes are witnessed everyday and children overcome seemingly overwhelming odds.
