Omar Bhutta MD

After 26 years of living in Pennsylvania, I moved to Seattle to complete my residency, chief residency, and critical care fellowship at Seattle Children’s Hospital. I then spent 3 years at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center as the medical education director for the PICU. When the opportunity to move back to the West Coast came up, my family and I moved here to Portland and I have been with the group since. I am currently serving as the Pediatric ECLS Medical Director and am also the President of the group.

Like a river, if you don’t fight life’s current, you can end up with some amazing experiences. From being a state champion bowler in high school, to being a member on 3 NCAA champion fencing teams, to seeing the world while refereeing fencing internationally, raising two kind boys with my beautiful wife, jamming on my saxophone with friends, and finding time to build furniture and brooms along the way, I am always interested in learning new things and filling my days with new experiences.
